"Paranormal Challenge" is an American competitive paranormal reality television series that premiered on June 17th, 2011, on the Travel Channel. A spinoff of "Ghost Adventures", the series was created and is hosted by lead investigator Zak Bagans, who challenges ghost hunters from around the United States to go head-to-head in a weekly competition to gather paranormal evidence by spending a night in reportedly haunted locations in the United States. The first season of the show ended on September 16th, 2011. Lead judge Dave Schrader announced on "Darkness Radio" that the show would not be renewed for a second season.
The opening narrated by Zak goes:
"Two teams. One night. One haunted location. One winner will be ultimate in bragging rights."

"Paranormal Challenge" è un reality show di competizione televisiva americana sul paranormale che è andato in onda per la prima volta il 17 giugno 2011 su Travel Channel. Come spinoff di "Ghost Adventures", la serie è stata creata e condotta dall'investigatore capo, Zak Bagans, che sfida i cacciatori di fantasmi degli Stati Uniti a mettersi in gioco in una gara settimanale per catturare prove paranormali trascorrendo una notte nelle locations americane dichiarate infestate. La prima stagione dello show è terminata il 16 settembre 2011. Il giudice principale, Dave Schrader, ha annunciato su "Darkness Radio" che non è stato rinnovato per una seconda stagione.
Così recita Zak nella intro:

Walkthrough;
- Equipment Orientation: infrared camcorder, full spectrum camcorder, full spectrum still camera, thermal imaging camera, Mel Meter, digital recorders, PX Device (Ovilus);
- Investigation Rules: teams will conduct their investigations simultaneously at different ends of the location with time constraints. They have 2 hours to complete part one of their investigation. They will then switch locations and continue for 2 more hours in part two. Each team will be assigned one camera operator and one sound technician to chronicle their investigations. Both areas are equipped with several stationary cameras allowing Zak and the judges to watch the teams every move from a secret nerve center location;

CRITERI

Sopralluogo;
- Orientamento sulle attrezzature: videocamera ad infrarossi, videocamera a spettro completo, fotocamera a spettro completo, videocamera termica, Mel Meter, registratori digitali, PX Device (Ovilus);
- Regole dell'investigazione: le squadre condurranno le loro indagini contemporaneamente in diverse zone della location con dei limiti di tempo. Hanno due ore per completare la prima parte della propria investigazione. Si scambieranno le zone e continueranno per altre due ore nella seconda parte. Ad ogni squadra sarà assegnato un cameraman ed un tecnico del suono che faranno la cronaca delle loro investigazioni. Entrambe le aree sono attrezzate con diverse videocamere fisse che permettono a Zak e ai giudici di guardare ogni mossa delle squadre da una base operativa situata in un luogo segreto;
